HOUSE – TRUE CHICAGO HOUSE FROM TEN CITY FOUNDER BYRON BURKE
By Eddie Gordon, Kings of Spin.
Byron is especially excited about his new single called “Work It!” Creating music, DJing, and dancing have played a critical role for me dealing with Social Anxiety & PTSD since childhood.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH) “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which there was the potential for or actual occurrence of grave physical harm. Traumatic events that may trigger PTSD include violent personal assaults, natural or human-caused disasters, accidents, and military combat. People with PTSD have persistent frightening thoughts and memories of their ordeal, may experience sleep problems, feel detached or numb, or be easily startled.
House music gives you tons of energy, which allows you to releases tension from dancing.
This track is from my forthcoming album called ‘In The Mood’, including a campaign to bring awareness, education, and methods to live an enjoyable life dealing with Social Anxiety and PTSD (#DanceAgainstPTSD by biQ MD Research coming in 2017).
Proceeds from this release will be donated to biQ MD Research Foundation for Music Therapy & Cannabis Research Studies.
